General 

Will points be awarded for the conference? 

There will be points awarded for US and CA Nurses only. 

USA: This program has been approved for 6.25 Contact Hours for US nurses; provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13692.  

Canada: While this educational activity is not officially endorsed by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), nurses may claim it as a continuous learning (CL) activity (6.25 CL Hours ) toward renewal of the CNA certification credential if it is related to their nursing specialty. Pre-authorization from the CNA Certification Program is not required. Participants are encouraged to retain a confirmation of attendance. 

For all countries, there will be no points awarded. 

Registration 

How much is the registration fee? 

The fee to participate at the global Symposium is EUR 60.00 for all delegates. The registration fee can either be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities or allocated to the event organization. 

What does the registration fee include? 
The registration fee of EUR 60.00 includes 

  • access to the global symposium on September 21-22, 2021, including networking possibilities with like-minded professionals and access to the product exhibition and poster hall. 

  • access to the Australian and Chinese local symposium on September 23 and September 24, 2021 

  • on demand access to all recordings and educational content until June 2022 

Who is eligible for free registration? 

There will be free registration accepted in specific circumstances as follows: 

  • Speakers 

  • Poster presenters 

  • Member of a non-profit organization (if primary occupation) 

  • Person from a low-income country, as defined by the World Bank Index 

  • Journalists and reporters 

Which countries are regarded as low-income country? 

According to the World Bank, the following countries are classed as low-income country:

When is a member of a non-profit organization accepted for free registration?  

Members of a non-profit organization are only accepted for free registration if this is their primary occupation.  

How can I complete registration at no cost if I fulfil any of the criteria for free registration?

Poster submission 

Where can I submit my abstract? 

You are asked to submit your abstract online on the Symposium registration page in the poster submission section

Where can I find guidelines for abstract and poster submission?

What are the abstract selection criteria? 

The criteria for evaluating abstracts include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Originality 

  • Scientific merit 

  • Quality of research design and data analysis 

  • Conclusions 

  • Quality of presentation 

What are the deadlines for the abstract submission? 

The final deadline for abstract submission is July 31, 2021. The authors will be notified on the success of their application by email by August 6, 2021. 

Where can I submit my poster? 

You will be notified via email if your poster is accepted. You will be asked to submit your poster via email to symposium@medela.com

What is the deadline for the poster submission?  

The final deadline for poster submission is August 30, 2021.  

Local Events (Australia & China) 

Who can attend the local event? 

Everyone who has registered for the global Symposium can access the local events on 23rd and 24th September for free. But these local events are generally intended for local customers due to the late hour of the global Symposium in their time zone. Please note that the Chinese event will be held in Chinese. 

Will the content of the local events also be accessible on demand? 

Yes, the content of the local events is also accessible on demand and can be accessed on demand until June 2022. Please note that the Chinese session will only be available in Chinese without English subtitles.
