Medela Promotes from Within and Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Thomas Golücke announced as Medela’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Baar, Switzerland, May 7, 2024 — Medela, a leading breast pump brand and medical device manufacturer for over sixty years, announces the appointment of Thomas Golücke as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024. Thomas will succeedAnnette Brüls, who has held the position successfully since 2018 and now decided to take on a new role outside of Medela. The promotion of Thomas Golücke to CEO was a planned transition as part of Medela’s succession management program.

Thomas Golücke has been with Medela for 10 years and has held a variety of roles in both the Europe and the Americas regions, most recently as Executive Vice President Europe and Americas & Global Sales Excellence and member of the Group Management. In addition to a decade of global Medela experience, Thomas Golücke brings a passion for healthcare and a wealth of expertise in General Management, Marketing and Sales Leadership, honed from industry leading employers such as Novartis, Nycomed Pharma/Takeda and SmithKline Beecham.
