Medela’s Global Breastfeeding and Lactation Symposium Series is a premier international event dedicated to advancing the science and practice of lactation care and human milk. Now in its 17th edition, the 2025 Symposium Series brings together leading clinicians, researchers, and lactation professionals from around the world to share the latest evidence, innovations, and strategies that support breastfeeding and improve outcomes for mothers and infants.
Medela has partnered with globally renowned speakers who will share their knowledge and latest research outcomes with you, joined by local experts, providing a unique program that is both globally relevant and tailored to each area. With a focus on empowering perinatal teams and promoting lactation support, the series features expert-led sessions on topics such as novel advances in neonatal care, optimizing milk volumes in at-risk populations, and emerging updates in human milk. Hosted in hybrid formats across three global regions, China, Europe and the Americas, the Symposium Series fosters collaboration, education, and the translation of science into clinical care over the course of the year.

For over 60 years, Medela has supported families with science-based insights and lactation solutions to help every baby get the best possible start in life. Aligned with this commitment, we are investing in community research that strengthens breastfeeding ecosystems and improves maternal and infant health.
