在您和新生宝宝肌肤接触的时刻,您的身体会瞬间释放大量催产素。1 而催产素又称‘爱的荷尔蒙’或‘拥抱化学物’,它还会在每次哺喂期间宝宝吮吸乳头时释放。
让您的新生宝宝尽早频繁地衔乳,可帮助您的子宫收缩并且促进分娩的‘第三个阶段’——排出胎盘。而且,它可以保护您免于失血过多。2
“与不母乳喂养的妈妈相比,母乳喂养的妈妈的子宫收缩得更快,”西澳大学世界著名的母乳喂养科学专家 Peter Hartmann 教授解释道。“如果妈妈随着时间的推移发现出血情况,医生会尽快将宝宝放在妈妈的乳房上以刺激这种收缩。”
在宝宝出生后几天内,您的身体在母乳喂养期间分泌的催产素能帮助预防进一步失血,由此降低您患缺铁性贫血的几率。3
尽管在头几周母乳喂养可能让您感到精疲力尽,但是只要您和宝宝不断练习,母乳的便利将是一个很大的益处。您可以毫不费力地在任何时间哺喂宝宝。您无需煮沸、混合、冷却和消毒 —— 只要简单的解开文胸就可以开始哺喂。外出时,您不必记得打包配方奶喂养所需的各种用具 —— 这在您已经带着沉甸甸的尿布、换洗衣服、湿巾和其他必需品时,真的是大大的福利。
母乳喂养还会抑制排卵,所以您的月经会暂停 —— 这对许多妈妈来说本身就是一种益处。这意味着纯母乳喂养(不给宝宝喂其他流质食物等)也是很好的避孕方法,事实上它的有效率至少达到 98%,和口服避孕药或者避孕套的有效率差不多。10 11 12
“在不久前的过去,可能通过母乳喂养避孕的情况比使用任何其他避孕用具都多。并且在一些发展中国家,情况仍然是这样,” Hartmann 教授说。但是请记住,仍然有一些女性在纯母乳喂养期间恢复月经,因此如果您不打算怀孕的话,还是要采取额外的避孕措施。

如果您想知道母乳喂养会燃烧多少卡路里,答案是每天多达 500 卡路里 —— 相当于骑一小时自行车。18 并且如果您是吸乳哺喂,效果也差不多。母乳喂养额外燃烧的卡路里能帮助您减掉怀孕期间增加的体重。或者反过来说,它可以让您多吃一些蛋糕或饼干!
但是您一定要有点耐心,Hartmann 教授解释说: “妈妈们母乳喂养时能减轻体重,但对于大多数人这个过程需要一些时间。您需要在前六个月母乳喂养,之后才能真正获得减重的益处。”
