Tricia Johnson

Tricia Johnson, PhD, is Professor and Economist in the Department of Health Systems Management at Rush University. Her primary scientific focus is on the economics and cost effectiveness of feeding human milk to premature infants. She also leads the economic evaluation of multiple studies with a goal of identifying novel, low-cost strategies that simultaneously improve health outcomes and reduce long-term healthcare costs. She is Associate Chair of Education and Research for the Graduate Program in Health Systems Management, where she teaches health economics and research methods. In 2009, she was selected as a Fulbright Scholar to Austria, where she worked with the Vienna University for Economics and Business. She is a member of the International Society for Research in Human Milk and Lactation. Prof. Johnson has a PhD in economics from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts from the University of Iowa, located in the United States.
