We love your post and would like to further use it. As you consider allowing us to use your content, we want to make sure you know exactly how we intend to use it.
You can provide your permission for Medela AG, Lättichstrasse 4b, 6340 Baar, Switzerland,and any of its affiliates (mother, sister and daughter companies) worldwide (collectively “Medela”) to use your content, by simply replying to our social media comment (e.g. Instagram, Twitter or other) or email with the word "yesmedela" or including #yesmedela in your post copy. By providing your permission, you represent and warrant that you own the post (your photo, video, text, profile) and there are no other parties with ownership claims over it. You grant Medela a free of charge, non-exclusive and non-revocable commercial right to use, reproduce and change the content in any form and manner (including, but not limited to, video, internet posting, reproduction, display, email, publication, and distribution), either through our own services or services provided by third parties, throughout the world in any medium now known or later developed and without restriction or limitation.
You agree that your post/content may be used by Medela to create derivative works either alone or in conjunction with sketches, cartoons, captions, films, art work, textural matter or other photographs. While Medela may, at its' discretion, give you credit for your post/content and provide a link/reference back to your post/account/personal details, (mainly first name and surname, how many children you have, city or town/country of residence) you agree that such credit is not mandatory and your permission for Medela to use your post/content is not contingent upon such credit being given.
You waive any right to inspect and/or approve the finished work incorporating your post or the advertising copy that may be used in connection therewith or the use of which said finished work may be applied. Further, you waive any claims to royalties with regards to your post or our finished work.
Lastly, you agree that if any provision, or any portion of any provision, contained herein is determined to be invalid under any statute or rule of law, then it shall, to that extent alone, be deemed omitted, and the remainder of this Permission to Use Content Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. This Permission to Use Content Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland and any disputes arising therefrom shall be finally decided by the competent courts of the Kanton of Zug, Switzerland, unless you are a resident of North or South America, in which case this Permission to Use Content Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions, and any disputes arising therefrom shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Cook County, Illinois, USA.
If you don’t agree to these terms, we completely understand, you don’t need to do anything further.

Legal basis and purpose

We process the following categories of personal data from you
We only collect the personal data contained in your post or provided to us by you upon request (i.e. your photo or avatar, videos, text, profile and images) including your first name and surname, how many kids you have, city or town/country of residence.
Recipients or categories of recipients
By publishing your personal data, your personal data can be viewed by the public.
Within Medela, your personal data will only be processed by those internal organizational units that process it for the purpose stated above. This may also include employees of our mother, sister or daughter companies (hereinafter referred to as "Medela group companies"). We may also share your personal data with service providers who help us to process your personal data as described in the permission section above. Medela has entered into agreements with all these parties to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected. Service providers are not allowed to pass on your personal data to unauthorized third parties or to use your personal data for purposes other than those instructed.
Location and duration of storage of your personal data
Your personal data is stored on servers in Switzerland and the European Union. We keep your personal data until you notify us that you no longer consent with our use thereof. Personal data in already printed or published media can no longer be deleted.
Transmission of personal data abroad
The publication allows access to your personal data from anywhere in the world. This means that countries that do not guarantee the same level of data protection as in your country of residence can also access the data.
Some Medela group companies and service providers are also located in countries outside that do not provide for the same level of data protection as in your country of residence. Medela has entered into an agreement with these Medela group companies and service providers in an effort to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable requirements. The measures that we use to protect personal data are subject to the legal requirements of the jurisdictions where personal data is transferred, including lawful requirements to disclose personal data to government authorities in those countries.
Your data protection rights
Right to access personal data: You have the right to request and receive information on the personal data collected on you or processed or, where applicable, shared with third parties, as part of the above-mentioned process.
Right to rectification: You have the right to have any inaccurate personal data corrected.
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You have the right to have your personal data deleted – for example, if your personal information is no longer required for the original purpose it was collected – subject to statutory retention obligations.
Right to restrict data processing: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, for example if the processing is unlawful or the accuracy of your personal data is contested.
